2. Commercial grade tripod.

Established, diverse cover band with an eclectic song list is in search of a drummer (our current drummer will be leaving the band due to other responsibilities). We are looking for a solid player with great timing and a solid groove that can pick up all those little details in the songs we perform. We’re not looking for fill-in types who play in seventeen other bands, this band will need to be your primary focus as we have an extensive song listing and like to keep things fresh by picking up new ones often. That said, we have a few things that are pretty much non-negotiable:
-Quick study, able to pick up and learn songs efficiently.
-Vocals. You MUST be able to sing. Lead vocals aren’t necessary but we have some songs requiring 3-part backing harmonies so if you can’t sing decently and aren’t able to pick out harmonies then this is definitely NOT your gig.
-Gear. Really. We all have pro gear, a full PA system (drums mic’d for performances) so you should have solid gear too. Also of note – your drum kit size probably doesn’t matter but there are some songs that might be hard to play with a 4-piece kit…
-Reliability. Goes without saying but we mean it. We work by contracts for many of our gigs and the ability to arrive and setup on time is vital. We take 2 or 3 road trips out-of-state per year so you have to be counted on (and be able to travel well for 12 hours with 3 other guys).
-Compatibility. We’re looking for a bandmate and someone we can hang out with beyond the music. We all have wives and families and friendship in this band is important and vital to the chemistry.
-Gigs. We play more often during spring and summer and you should be able to handle at least 1-3 gigs a month. Parties, special events, festivals, clubs, etc.
-No drama or substance issues. We all like a drink or two but we don’t play with a buzz… Music first.
We’re all close in age (40s) so it helps if you’re in that range too (30s, 40s) as that makes song selection and common musical ground that much easier. We all suggest song ideas and we play a range of songs going from the 60s into the 00s with most songs tilted more from late 70s to 90s. We make a few concessions and do songs that a lot of cover bands play but the bulk of our material isn’t quite as common. We all have a great sense of humor and are easy-going. Stage setup and tear-down runs like a well-oiled machine, everyone does their part. It's also worth mentioning that although we typically don't play for free we do this for fun and love to play...
There’s a lot we’re asking here but the fact that our departing drummer had all that and more means there’s got to be someone else out there who will fit the bill. My friend and I are working on getting a metalcore band together, my friend screams, I play guitar and we recently got a sick ass drummer. My friend and I were in a band together before but unfortunately, it all fell apart. Our rhythm guitarist left first for another band and then kicked out our drummer because he didn't show up to practice and was being an ass. We have two songs already done from the band that fell apart and I'm working on some guitar stuff and will start wrighting again soon with our new drummer. Finding a rhythm guitarist is our biggest priority then a bassist second . We are really serious about this and hope to make a some what of a career out of this band and it's music.
Equipment we have:
I own two six string guitars and one seven string guitar(The seven string won't be used for this band). All three of these guitars are Schecter Hellraisers. I have two half stacks, one with a Line 6 tube head and Line 6 cab(which I use) and a Line 6 head(without tubes) and a Marshall cab. A Ibanez bass and Behringer bass stack for it. A a Behringer PA system for the vocals. A very nice five piece Pearl drum set with five symbols and double kick(also new drum heads put on a three days ago). We have a place to play(My house, we split open two rooms to make one), Sheryin Vega speakers connected to a Denon stereo. Also a cheep recording software so we can record our songs and take them home so we can listen to them and practice them.
Some requirement:
We are looking for someone between the age of 15-21.
Have their own equipment(own guitar, own bass).
Have to live somewhat near Rathdrum so we can practice on a normal basis.
Someone that we can get along with(we're pretty easy going guys).
