Currently, our second guitarist is leaving the band to pursue his studies in engineering.
As we play our last couple of shows with him, we're on the search for someone to transition and take his spot. Here's what we're looking for:
Someone (guy or girl) in their early to late 20's (exceptions can be made) who is decent at guitar, and would be comfortable in switching between rhythm and lead guitar, with an emphasis on leads and solos (if the song calls for it). Being able to sing harmonies from time to time would be excellent as well. An amazing plus would be someone who is good with composition and songwriting, and even in singing lead vocals -- but certainly not required.
We play an average of 2 -- 3 shows a month, with an occasional regional "weekend tour" around the state, so someone with a slightly flexible schedule would be idea. In between that, we practice once a week, to craft songs, rehearse for performances, and sometimes record tracks for an EP /album. As a part-time band, the weekly hourly commitment would be a modest 3 hours -- slightly more if we play a show that week.
About us: We're a bunch of mid-twenties guys writing and performing music with the nostalgic influences of pizza and Nintendo as inspiration. Our songs are about people finding their place in life, lost love, and analyzing society. We've been playing 90's pop punk, but we're starting to open to incorporate different styles, from post-punk to electronica pop. Perhaps you can add a different flavor to the band?

Our current lead player is leaving in the next month or so and we have gigs scheduled out through April and May and even a tour out west in the books for Sept. I cannot give the name of the group out here on only because we do have gigs scheduled almost every weekend and I don't want to confuse any other bands we're playing with, or venues we are booked at if they saw we need a guitar player. Again, he is going to stay with the group for another month or two but we need someone sooner rather than later. Just in the next 3 months, we'll be playing in and around Columbus, as well as Pittsburgh, Chicago, NYC, Cleveland, Charleston WV, Dayton, Louisville KY, etc...

-someone professional
-someone with a flexible schedule and who commit to a rehearsal once a week and shows on weekends, sometimes thursdays, sometimes (but not often) full week tours

We are looking for someone who has had previous experience in bands and is comfortable with the pop music realm. We are playing music from Lady Gaga, Jessie J, Pink, Usher, Maroon 5, Etc. As this music is heavy on the piano/ synth you would need to have some pretty decent gear and of course, reliable transportation. We are hoping to be up and running as soon as possible, but we want to come out swinging so we are asking a commitment of at least once a week rehearsals.
A little about us...Currently Double Shot consists of bass, drums, guitar, and a female vocalist. Aside from keys, we are working to add a male vocalist/ rapper to the mix. We have a lot of work left to do, but this is going to be a pretty exciting band once it gets going.
