We have aspirations of being more than just an Omaha band. We've got good gear (a good mixture of cool vintage and modern stuff) and know how to use it.
We're looking for a bass player between 20 and 30. Entwhistle, Geezer Butler and John Paul Jones are all good influences to have. We need someone who can really lock in with our drummer and throw in some good fills and be able to feel the mood and groove of our songs.

While I have a great time with the band I am in, and it is great experience, I am now looking to start something that is more towards the direction I would like to go. I have played for about 15 years, and a friend of mine plays bass and has for a couple years now. We currently have several songs recorded as we have recording capabilities in house, but I built all drum tracks with a keyboard, I play all the guitar parts myself, and there is only one or two that I have written vocals for. Now, I do understand that dropping famous band names may imply that we are looking to be a cover band, but I assure you that is not the goal here. Though I do believe covers may be beneficial in the beginning as far as having enough material for an entire set, we do intend to be a completely original band. My inspirations for most of my playing career have been bands like Breaking Benjamin, Killswitch Engage, Times of Grace, All That Remains, Theory of a Deadman, etc. I really like the "lead rhythms" that these bands produce, and these bands portray the energy that I wish to accomplish with this project. While I have a great time with the band I am in, and it is great experience, I am now looking to start something that is more towards the direction I would like to go. I have played for about 15 years, and a friend of mine plays bass and has for a couple years now. We currently have several songs recorded as we have recording capabilities in house, but I built all drum tracks with a keyboard, I play all the guitar parts myself, and there is only one or two that I have written vocals for. Now, I do understand that dropping famous band names may imply that we are looking to be a cover band, but I assure you that is not the goal here. Though I do believe covers may be beneficial in the beginning as far as having enough material for an entire set, we do intend to be a completely original band. My inspirations for most of my playing career have been bands like Breaking Benjamin, Killswitch Engage, Times of Grace, All That Remains, Theory of a Deadman, etc. I really like the "lead rhythms" that these bands produce, and these bands portray the energy that I wish to accomplish with this project. Anyway, if any of this interests you, shoot me a line. I would be glad to send you some sound bytes of the songs we have been working on to help you decide whether or not you are interested.
A drummer is very crucial at this point. We do have a drum set, but it is not very good quality as neither of us are drummers. I just like to play them and got it for my own amusement.
