09-05-10 - Des Moines, IA>Omaha, NE - Last singer tried to cover Quiet Riot and Journey back to back and spontaniously combusted...so now we need a new singer because four hours of instrumental interpretations of rock classics just ain't cutting it. Singer must be a talented, high-energy individual with the stamina and lungs capable of covering classic rock staples from AC/DC to ZZ-Top for four straight hours without collapsing into a quivering heap. We do everything in the origional key which means if you can't or only think you can hit the Steve Perry or Robert Plant high notes, you probably can't and shouldn't waste your time. Would like someone with enough stage experience to avoid the "deer in the headlights" phase but we'll consider anyone (male or female) with a big enough head to think you can do it...if you're talented enough. We rehearse twice a week which means you would be required to rehearse twice a week also. We provide pro gear. sound system and practice space...you provide voice, energy, talent and enough intelligence to remember the lyrics so you don't have to repeat the same verse over and over because you forgot how the words went. We have a large set list which you will have to learn within about three days (joking of course, you'll get a week)...but there will be no pressure other than trying to fit in with four dysfunctional misfit musicians who have been playing together for the past two years. MARY DEAN: 42, plagued by an illness that has left doctors scratching their heads. Once a hearty farmer’s wife, she’s now trapped in her bed and wishing for death to take her – but stays alive to try and keep her husband from following her to the other side prematurely.
CODY HALL: 23, long-time farmhand who grew up working on the farm and helps out when he’s not taking college courses. He basically sticks around because he knows Frank needs the help.
KELLY OSGOOD: 25, a young journalist trying to make a name for herself despite being stuck in the middle of the country. She’s heard about the corrupt practices of a land developer, who’s known to pay off the local authorities to get his way, and hopes to expose him to the public. His latest target: Frank Dean.
NATHAN NORTH: 35, a power broker of the highest order who fancies himself a kingdom builder, even if those kingdoms are over-priced houses for senior citizens. Having inherited a family fortune from his late father, North plans to bulldoze over anyone who stands in his way of building his own little empire.
MAYOR SID WYATT: 53, long-time mayor of the little country town of Hillside. While not exactly a brain trust, he knows who to schmooze and who to take for all their worth.
SHERIFF BOB FERGUSON: 44, former classmate of Frank’s who wanted Mary for himself and has always harbored ill-will against him.
LOCAL KIDS: Group of high school drop outs that spend their days breaking windows and smashing things. Nathan recruits them to mess up the Dean farm as a means of intimidating him to sell.
FORMER FARMERS: Group of farmers who sold out to Nathan and who he gets to serve as his muscle when he goes to kill Frank

08-26-10 - Omaha, NE>Des Moines, IA - Ex-members of very well established local bands Eyes Catch Fire and Aurasing have a brand new upstart project going and are only looking for a bassist. The project already includes a vocalist, lead and rhythm guitarist, and drummer and we only need to finish off our rhythm section with the right guy on bass. If you're in the 21-30 something range and are interested, get at us quick because we've got some great material that we want to get out there. The music style of the project is based more on the heavier side of pop rock, but not too heavy, i.e. Hoobastank, Dead Poetic, There For Tomorrow, The Almost, Saosin, etc... We plan to practice 1-2 times a week. We all have massive experience in the local/regional music scene, and won't have any problem playing the best venues with the best talent in town.
