I am interested in a duo with an eye on performing. I can best describe my style as, Blues/Jazz/Classical/Soul/New Age with a bit of old fashioned Rock thrown in for good measure. I would ideally find someone who can hold down the bottom end, freeing up my left hand, but who can also come up with their own solo parts. My influences are too numerous to list here, but I have been listening to some Buddha Bar recordings lately. There is a chance that at some time I would like to add a percussionist, but for the time being, I can find rhythms and beats with the equipment I have on hand. Vocals would be nice too. I would like to take music from one genre into other areas, for instance, taking a pop song into the Jazz/Trance arena, or making a Blues song out of an old Beatles tune. I also play acoustic guitar and sing myself. I pretty much have all the necessary equipment (except a cello of course) and a good place to at least start this project.
