01-27-12 - Columbia, SC>Charleston, SC - Started a high-energy, no-frills, straight-ahead rock power trio cover band in early November. Was fortunate enough to find solid, mature, focused, motivated players (all in their forties but me, I'm mid-fifties) who sound good together and mesh well as people. The result a few weeks later is a group of four (three instruments) with solid playing, good male and female lead and harmony vocals, energetic stage presence, over 30 songs learned, and an excellent 4-hour set list of high-energy rock. Everyone has pro-level gear, including the PA system. We'll be ready to hit the ground running in a few weeks, planning to gig a couple of times a month.
