Compensation is negotiable, and would be based on the compensation for each show on an individual basis (0 = 0). A 7 string wouldn't hurt. We have a jam space and we have recording equipment about the same caliber as pro tools. We are just starting out and we are trying to make this at least a serious hobby. We try to meet at least once a week but as you can imagine, there's not much you can do without a drummer. You must be able to play with a double bass pedal as most symphonic metal requires it and be able to play in different time signatures. If music theory makes your head hurt, it's not a problem. Just so long as you can play, you'll be all set. The music is symphonic metal which is essentially death metal with clean vocals (think Nightwish, Within Temptation, or Dawn of Destiny if you have no idea who I'm talking about, google them). We're a laid back, fun group and we are friends first and a band second so expect to have a good time. -- Project Type: 1

07-26-10 - Columbus, OH>Louisville, KY - Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Please come prepared with any schedule conflicts from late August through October. Head shots and acting resumes are not required, but are always welcome. 'Larceny and Old Lace' is characterized as a spoof of 'Arsenic and Old Lace', but can easily be thought of as almost an homage to the classic play. It reads and plays almost like the original show. Fans of 'Arsenic' will recognize similar themes, characters and such, but will enjoy the twists that this play brings to light. For those new to the play, it stands quite well on its own as a light and fun comedy. Stage ages are flexible, but Harold, and Gloria should be of a similar age and Gertie, Millie and Charlie are expected to be older than Harold. Performances will be on Oct 8th, 9th, 15th & 16th, 2010 at 8 PM each evening with a matinee performance at 2 PM on the second Saturday. A rehearsal schedule will be determined once any actor conflicts are taken into account, but are expected to be twice weekly from about 7-9 PM initially. I have experience playing in the local metal/hardcore scene and have pretty good gear (Peavey tour 2x15 cab, with a Peavey VB-2 Head unit, and a Epi. Thunderbird IV bass). I need a vocalist.
