02-27-10 - Fargo, ND>Minneapolis, MN - Hey, So here's the situation - I was the cinematographer for a small indie film shot last week, and apparently the producer didn't exactly line up someone to edit the film in advance. Long story short, I've been wrangled into this project, and it's just too much work for one person. So I'm looking for an assistant to help get some of the rough editing done (syncing up tracks, cutting out waste, etc), and maybe a little of the fine editing if you do good work and want the challenge. It's a fun group to work with, and the work is pretty easy. now here's the downside; there is literally no editing budget. Yeah, I know, it sucks for me too. However, the reason I picked this up, and the reason that it would be a great project for someone to jump on is that the producer is confident that this film will get noticed in a big way. Because of that, it's a quality resume builder, not to mention a possible catalyst for bigger and better things. The only real requirement is that you know how to sync footage. Ideally, you use adobe Premiere Pro CS4 so we don't have to deal with software incompatibility, but we can discuss that when we get there.
