The Management Fellow will provide direct administrative support to the Executive Director and work with her and the Development Manager on both short-term and long-term marketing and fundraising projects. He/ she will shoulder heavy day-to-day administrative tasks while also helping establish new systems and create a roadmap for future activities. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate with some previous internship or office experience and serious management career goals. A successful Fellow will walk away from the season with the hands-on experience necessary to gain a meaningful marketing or fundraising position at another leading arts organization. Management Fellowship will begin in August 2013 and continue through July 2014. The Fellow will be expected to work a minimum of four days a week, and will receive a weekly stipend of $125 as well as an unlimited, monthly metrocard. In addition to assisting the Executive Director, the Management Fellow will also work closely with the Development Manager and will assume direct responsibility for a number of marketing and fundraising activities. Specific tasks include: Designing and sending Soho Rep. email blasts Working with outside graphic design firm to resize and update key art for both digital and print formats Coordinating group sales to Soho Rep. productions Managing Soho Rep. facebook and twitter profiles Supervising poster, postcard, and season brochure distribution Managing gift entry and fundraising database Writing and generating gift acknowledgement letters Organizing major mailings Individual and institutional prospect research Assisting with day-of preparation for all fundraising events Proactively pitching-in to help with Gala during months leading up to the event. Managing Executive Directors schedule Qualifications: Excellent organizational and analytic skills. Being detail and deadline-oriented is a must. Excellent computer competency and experience with Microsoft Word (including mail merge), Excel, and both mac and pc platforms. Must have facility in photoshop and/or indesign as well as social media platforms. Experience using databases and Constant Contact (or comparable email service) a plus. Auditions Saturday, June 1, 2013 at 1:00 PM Sunday, June 2, 2013 at 1:00 PM Director Christine seeks young actors, ages 7 to 13, to fill about twenty-five roles in the Barley Sheaf Players' summer childrens show. You will be asked to do some cold readings from the script and play some improv games. This show is a straight show (non-musical), so you do not need to prepare an audition song. Auditions will start promptly at 1pm on both Saturday and Sunday, please feel free to arrive as early as 12:30 to begin filling out the audition paperwork, or audition form and print the paperwork ahead of time.
