03-10-10 - San Francisco, CA>Reno, NV - If you're: an accomplished, savvy, youthful (head-wise) bassist and you can also sing harmonies, you might be right for this project. We need a straight-ahead in-the-pocket groover, which is great, and we'll take ya; but if your influences are also folks like Jaco, Victor Wooten, or other nasty-assed bassists and you can bring real artistry to the project, all the better! We're a totally pop-rock-band with truly great original songs down-tight, looking to begin playing smaller venues acoustically (tho you don't need to play acoustic bass), later to hit clubs in SF and surrounding area. We have some good contacts to help make that (and more) happen. We rehearse in Montara, half-way between Pacifica and Half Moon Bay, at an awesome alpaca-ranch by the sea owned by lead-guitarist. Me: Singer/songwriter/front-man for the band, doing my original tunes. Here's the tunes: The 1st song up atypical of us, a pop-punk song I wrote that's up on Neil Young's Living With War website (thus I put it up 1st for the link), but the rest are more typical of the stuff we do, only these dayz we're actually upping the drive on 'em more, with influences from bands like Snow Patrol, et al.
